About the event
Laura Elkeslassy will perform rollicking North African music with an all Moroccan band for Mimouna, a traditional North African Jewish event marking the end of Passover, celebrated by Muslim & Jewish neighbors alike with leavened food and festivity. The event, which will take place in Brooklyn brings together radical, justice-minded Southwest Asia/North African (SWANA) Jewish, Muslims, and allies to celebrate freedom, justice, good food (traditional SWANA). Sponsored by Jewish Voice for Peace, If Not Now, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice and Brooklyn Arts Fund, we will gather to build solidarity, community, and joy over the sweetest things in life.
