About the event
During Passover, Jews traditionally abstain from eating leavened bread. For centuries, Jewish communities in Morocco symbolically gave their flour to their Muslim neighbors over Passover for safekeeping—and got it back at the end of the holiday, when they celebrated the return of leavened foods in a tradition known as Mimouna.

Join us at 7 PM on Tuesday April 30 at Barzakh Cafe (147 Utica Avenue) in Brooklyn for a Mimouna gathering that will be different from years past, but still meaningful. We center this celebration in deep values of justice, anti-zionism, solidarity, and liberation.
